For consideration to be listed, your search engine must meet the three criteria listed below.

#1. The search engine must produce websites as an end product.

#2. The search engine must create and maintain it's own searchable database. This disqualifies All-in-one Searchers, Meta-Searchers, and Open Directory Project searchers.

#3. The search engine must not strictly list company websites as in "Yellow pages". Business search engines should have a whole range of websites including academic, government, plus the sites of individuals on the topic of business.

Once your submission has been received, a "Logotag" will be created for your listing. Example:

Logotags are, at their core, "print on blank background". However, within the limitations of careful choice of colour, and careful selection font style (print), an effort will be made to suggest your search engine's logo. An exact match is not the goal. Traditionally, logotags have been made here at Internet Search Engines free of charge. However, it is possible for you to create a logotag for your search engine and have it be used without charge, if you follow the design rules.

The structure of our listings is alphabetical. If you would like to beat this system and get your search engine listed in the #1 position at the top of a country/category page or in the #1 position at the top of the first page for multiple pages for the same country/category, you may do so with Priority Placement. Logotag

Artistically talented search engine webmasters have long been frustrated by the severe rules governing logotag design: Two colours only - one of which must be the background, no artwork, one style of font only, one size of font only, search engine name must be on a single line, font must be enlarged as much as possible to fill the space of the logotag, 245 by 38 pixels dimensions, and the logotag must weigh in at less than 1.5 kbs.

Promotag

Finally, there now exists an opportunity for you artistically-talented search engine webmasters to "breakout"! You may create a Promotag. The only rules for a Promotag's creation is that it must weigh in at less than 1.9 kbs. and retain the 245 by 38 pixels dimensions standard.
